SKILFUL "SPECIAL" HANDS PRODUCE THEIR OWN HOLIDAY CANDIES DURING AN ONLINE BROADCAST

As a part of 'Special Hands Regional Tastes eTwinning Project", 100 special students from 10 cities produced their own holiday candies during an online broadcast.

Teachers at the İstiklal Special Education Vocational School located in Melikgazi District of Kayseri Province organized an online activity that brought together special students who have received food and beverage education in different cities of the country.
 
Director General for Special Education Guidance Services Cemal Özdemir, Kayseri Provincial Director of National Education Vasfi Seyhan and parents also attended the online activity.
 
Special students who attended, "I am making my own holiday candy" produced candies from local fruits of Kayseri. 
 
İstiklal Special Education Vocational School Principal Osman Morsünbül said that the goal of the project was to allow students to be treated to an enjoyable time during the distance education process.
 
Noting that another purpose of the activity was to teach required knowledge and skills, Morsünbül pointed out that holiday is the time when children go out and collect candy and this project was designed to teach children how to make healthier candies at home.
 
Morsünbül added that 100 students from 10 cities such as Kastamonu and İstanbul attended the activity.
